As a Swim Instructor at YMCA of Southern West Virginia, you will be responsible for leading swimming programs and providing tailored lessons to children of all ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students with a genuine love for swimming and the ability to inspire young swimmers to enjoy the water. We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Swim Instructor to join our team in Beckley, WV.

Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed

Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, preferably in an educational or instructional setting
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques
• Strong background in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management and creative teaching skills
• Strong behavior management skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is beneficial, as it demonstrates an understanding of working with children in a structured environment!
• A love and passion for swimming and children!
