As a Swim Instructor at Tri-County YMCA Wild Waves, you will lead swimming programs and provide customized individual and group lessons for children of all ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students who have a strong passion for swimming, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to motivate young swimmers to develop a love and respect for the water. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven Swim Instructor to join our team at Tri-County YMCA Wild Waves in Scott Depot, WV.

Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, offering feedback and guidance as necessary

Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, particularly in educational or instructional settings
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques
• Proficiency in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and creative teaching skills
• Effective behavior management abilities to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is a plus, showcasing experience in working with children in a structured environment
• Passion for swimming and children is a must
