Are you a swimmer who is passionate about teaching others how to navigate the water with skill and confidence? Do you have experience working with children and a strong background in water safety? If so, we are looking for a Swim Instructor at Stevens Point Area YMCA to lead our swimming programs in Stevens Point, WI. This is the perfect opportunity for students who want to inspire young swimmers and create a positive learning environment around the pool.

Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed

Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, preferably in an educational or instructional setting
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques
• Strong background in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management and creative teaching skills
• Strong behavior management skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is beneficial, as it demonstrates an understanding of working with children in a structured environment!
• A love and passion for swimming and children!
