As a Swim Instructor at Fairmont Area Swim Team, you will lead swimming programs and offer customized individual and group lessons to children of different ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students who possess a strong love for swimming, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to motivate young swimmers and foster a love and respect for the water. Currently, we are seeking a dedicated and self-driven Swim Instructor to become part of our team and contribute to our Fairmont Area Swim Team in Fairmont, WV.

Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed

Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, preferably in an educational or instructional setting
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques
• Strong background in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management and creative teaching skills
• Strong behavior management skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is beneficial, as it demonstrates an understanding of working with children in a structured environment!
• A love and passion for swimming and children!
