As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfort in and around open water with knowledge of safety considerations
Ability to navigate deep water and use watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Passing lifeguard prerequisite exam requirements (550-meter open water swim, 2-minute tread water without hands, etc.)
Preferred experience working with or teaching children
Red Cross or WSI certification preferred, but not required
Must be 18 years or older
