As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water and basic knowledge of safety considerations
• Basic ability to use watercraft like surfboards, paddleboards, and kayaks
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisites like the open water swim and treading water
• Experience working with or teaching children preferred
• Red Cross or WSI certification is a plus
• Must be 18 years or older
