As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfort in and around open water with knowledge of safety considerations
Ability to use watercraft in deep waters (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Successful completion of lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, tread water without use of hands - 2 min, etc.)
Experience working with or teaching children preferred
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
Must be 18+ years of age
