As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
Able to work in deep water and use watercraft like surfboards and kayaks
Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including an open water swim and treading water test
Preferred experience working with or teaching children
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification a plus
Must be 18 years or older
