As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfort in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
Ability to operate watercraft in deep water (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, 2-minute tread water without using hands, etc.)
Previous experience working with or teaching children preferred
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification a plus, but not required
Must be 18 years or older
