As a Swim Instructor at Atlantic Coast Athletic Clubs of VA, Inc., you will lead swimming programs and offer both individual and group lessons customized for children of different age groups and skill levels. This position is perfect for students from who have a strong love for swimming, exceptional communication skills, and the genuine ability to motivate young swimmers and nurture in them a fondness and reverence for the water. We are currently seeking a driven and self-starting Swim Instructor to become a part of our team and cater to our Atlantic Coast Athletic Clubs of VA, Inc. located in Charlottesville, VA.

Responsibilities
• Provide swim lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Create a safe and encouraging learning environment for all students
• Evaluate and track student progress, offering feedback and support as necessary

Requirements
• Previous experience working with students of different abilities and ages, with a preference for educational or instructional backgrounds
• Proficient in various swim strokes and techniques, possessing strong swimming skills
• Knowledgeable in water safety and survival techniques
• Certification in CPR & First Aid (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and creative teaching skills
• Effective behavior management skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with composure and professionalism
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is advantageous for showing an understanding of working with children in a structured setting
• Passion for swimming and children evident in work ethic and attitude
