As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with knowledge of safety considerations
Comfortable in deep water and ability to use watercraft (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Able to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, 2-minute tread water, etc.)
Experience working with or teaching children is preferred
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification is preferred but not required
Must be 18+ years of age
