As a Swim Instructor at Brandywine-DE YMCA, you will lead swimming programs and offer customized individual and group lessons for children of different ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students with a strong love for swimming, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to motivate young swimmers to develop a respect and love for water. We are currently seeking a dedicated and self-driven Swim Instructor to become part of our team and contribute to our Brandywine-DE YMCA in Claymont, DE.

Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction for students of varying ages and skill levels
• Create a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Evaluate student progress and offer feedback and support as necessary

Requirements
• Previous experience working with students of all ages and abilities, ideally in an educational or instructional setting
• Proficient swimming skills and knowledge of various strokes and techniques
• Strong foundation in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Exceptional communication, organization, time management, and innovative teaching abilities
• Effective behavior management skills to handle challenging situations with composure and professionalism
• Background in childcare or sports coaching is advantageous, showcasing an understanding of working with children in a structured environment
• A genuine love and enthusiasm for swimming and children
