As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
• Proficient in deep water and basic watercraft usage (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam including open water swim and treading water
• Experience working with children or teaching is a plus
• Red Cross or WSI certification preferred but not required
• Must be 18 years or older
