As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with knowledge of safety considerations
• Comfortable in deep water and basic ability to use watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water for 2 minutes without using hands
• Preferred experience working with or teaching children
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
