As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfort in and around open water with basic understanding of safety considerations
Comfort in deep water with basic watercraft usage abilities (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water without hands for 2 minutes
Preferred experience working with or teaching children
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
Must be 18 years of age or older
