As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfort in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
Comfort in deep water and basic watercraft usage (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, 2-minute tread without hands, etc.)
Experience with or enjoyment of working with children preferred
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
Must be 18 years of age or older
