As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfort in and around open water with knowledge of safety considerations
Comfort in deep water with ability to use watercraft like a surfboard or kayak
Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (including 550-meter open water swim)
Preferred experience working with or teaching children
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification is a plus
Must be 18 years old or older
