As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with knowledge of safety considerations
• Ability to navigate deep water and use watercraft such as surfboards, paddleboards, and kayaks
• Successful completion of lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water for 2 minutes without using hands
• Preference for experience working with or teaching children
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification is a plus, but not required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
