As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfort around open water with basic safety knowledge
Proficiency in deep water and ability to use watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Successfully pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water for 2 minutes without hands
Prior experience working with or teaching children is a plus
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred, but not mandatory
Must be 18 years or older
