As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
• Ability to operate watercraft in deep water, such as a surfboard, paddleboard, or kayak
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water for 2 minutes without using hands
• Preferred experience working with or teaching children
• Preferred Red Cross Certification or WSI certification, but not required
• Must be 18+ years of age
