We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Cashier to join our team at the Downtown LA Wholesale Farmers Market for the graveyard shift. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working late hours, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for fresh, locally sourced products. As a cashier, you will be responsible for handling transactions and providing exceptional customer service to our evening and early morning customers.

Schedule: Start Time 1am or 2am; M-Sat; $17 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers with a positive attitude, even during late hours
• Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately
• Process various types of payments (cash, credit, mobile payments, etc.)
• Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Balance the cash register at the start and end of each shift
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of the cashier station
• Provide information on products and resolve customer inquiries or concerns
• Assist in restocking or inventory management as needed during slower hours
• Work in coordination with the night crew to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications:

• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
• Comfortable working late-night and early-morning shifts
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable and able to work independently during quiet hours
• Experience with or interest in locally sourced or organic products is a plus
• Must be available for weekend and holiday shifts
• Bilingual; English and Spanish
