As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfort in and around open water with understanding of safety protocols
Proficiency in deep water and basic watercraft use (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including 550-meter swim and 2-minute treading water
Experience working with or teaching children preferred
Red Cross or WSI certification preferred but not required
Must be 18 years or older
