As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfort in and around open water with knowledge of safety considerations
Ability to navigate deep water and use watercraft like surfboards, paddleboards, and kayaks
Successful completion of lifeguard prerequisite exam (including open water swim and treading water)
Experience working with or teaching children is a plus
Red Cross certification or WSI certification preferred
Must be at least 18 years old
