Their business model is to tempt you with a low price and keep you on three month leases that they raise by any increasing amount with each renewal. You are given no notice and the increases can be by any amount. Each comes with a lease you never see or sign full of new hidden fees, most recently a late payment fee of 25%. Such harsh penalties encourage you to use autopay, making you less likely to notice massive price hikes. All emails are ignored and the office will tell you to move to another identical unit to get back to a fair rate. I was told that over 100 people moved within the building at the start of this year, a huge waste of time with no benefit to anyone, just to get around predatory price hikes. Most people keep their storage units longer than they expect. An honest one year lease with a reputable facility will cost you far less than this predatory business model. My rent has been hiked $40 in three months and $25 three months before that. It started at $129 and is now $243 less than two years later. The same unit in the building is currently listed for rent at $112.
