As a 3rd year pharmacy intern, you have a significant role in our company working as a part of the pharmacy team- delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and demonstrating genuine, authentic care for our patients. While working as a 3rd year pharmacy intern, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment that delivers exceptional care to each patient. This includes but is not limited to:Patient SafetyPharmacy Professional PracticeRegulatory RequirementsQuality AssuranceCustomer ServiceInventory ManagementWorkflow Management excluding final prescription verificationPrimary Roles and Responsibility: A key component of the pharmacy intern role is keeping your customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs. Additionally, you will:Lead with Heart - display empathy and compassion for your patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues on your teamSeek new ways to grow, collaborate with others, and deliver better outcomesAlign others around our purpose to bring your heart to every moment of your health and gain support and commitmentFacilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and prideEducation:Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacyRequired Qualifications:Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy0-3 years relevant work experienceMust possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as requiredStrong communication and presentation skillsComplete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframeAbility to:Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekendsBe mobile and remain upright for extended periods of timeLift, scan, and bag itemsFinger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or armReach overhead; able to stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp itemsExtend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift itemsPrecision control: able to adjust machines to exact positionsStoop to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions, including bending spine at the waistVisual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small partsAble to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customersOccasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objectsAbility To: Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekendsComplete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or managerComplete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelinesPreferred Qualifications:Immunization eligibilityProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist functionPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$16.00 - $16.00Whether in our pharmacies or through our health service offerings, we are pioneering a bold new approach to total health care.
