As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with knowledge of safety considerations
• Able to work comfortably in deep water and use watercraft (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, 2-minute tread water without hands)
• Preferred experience with children or teaching
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
• Must be 18 years or older
