As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with knowledge of safety considerations
• Proficiency in deep water and ability to use watercraft like surfboards and kayaks
• Successful completion of lifeguard prerequisite exam, including open water swim and treading water
• Experience working with children or teaching is a plus
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
