When I rented my unit I did everything online & was given a lease.Next I took all my paperwork & head to the storage uniit. Online it wasn't clear exactly what time the office & gate closes & what would be the cutoff time for first timers like myself. I get to the Ronkonkoma facility on Friday during labor day weekend15mins before closing gratefully seeing that the place was empty and see a gentleman sitting at his desk impatiently biting his upper lip ready to celebrate his 3 day weekend which is fine however when he told me there's no possible way I could get into my unit because they close in 5mins this is a problem. I reply oh you guys close 10 Mins before the hour because online it says you close exactly on the hour. He says yup & let's me walk out the door with a SUV loaded with my stuff. As I walked out, he stayed planted in that seat I really wanted to take my lease & rip it up then call corporate. At this point my mind saw nothing but red flags, thinking what's next a bunch of hidden fees & other annoying stuff. I decided to give them one more chance & went back the next day. The day after I was greeted by a great fella he was totally different from the first guy, until he started looking through my paperwork He says I see you put you have your own insurance, I need proof, I tell him sir during the online process there was no way to prove I woulda simply put it on there then. Although he gave me 7 days to email the proof without any extra charge was still an inconvenience. Next he says I see that you put down you have your own lock, I say I do I & showed it to him it was from one of my units I had previously then he says but we don't accept those locks you need one of ours at this point if it wasn't for his great personality & funny jokes I woulda been gone immediately! Please iron out my wrinkles by making me happy & take care of those things I previously mentioned so you guys don't potentially lose any new costumers
