Position Overview/Lead Teacher: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Temporary Lead Teacher for our Before and/or after-school programs in Philadelphia charter schools. The positions start April 7th, 2025, and ends June12th 2025. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing STEM-based learning activities, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing STEM-based learning activities, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL).
Reporting to: Site Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop age-appropriate STEM activities and provide homework assistance.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment, managing behavior and student progress.
- Collaborate with the Site Director and other staff members to plan and coordinate program activities
- Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, progress, and other required documentation
- Collaborate with staff and communicate with parents about student progress and concerns
- Ensure compliance with OCDEL regulations and maintain student records.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Elementary Education or related field.
- Certification or eligibility for OCDEL certification.
- At least 2 years of experience working with elementary-aged children.
- CPR/First Aid certified.
- Availability: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM or split shift (7:00 AM-9:00 AM & 3:00 PM-6:00 PM).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse educational, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility.
