I have an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Mount Holyoke College. For many students, classroom learning is face paced and taught with a one-size-fits-all due to time constraints. Individual counseling allows the student and tutor to develop a working relationship in a relaxed, casual atmosphere where it is perfectly acceptable to ask multiple questions or to have concepts explained in several different ways. My tutoring sessions are kept interesting and upbeat to foster a positive learning environment for my students, to keep them engaged in learning, and to prevent unnecessary stressors.
