Personal Statement

I love literature but find it equally as fulfilling to help pupils prep for standardized exams in writing and reading. My career is in teaching English, but I am taking some time away to earn my master's degree. I have my bachelor's degree in English, and I have been a reporter for a newspaper. I have my teaching credential from Mary Baldwin College and took gifted courses as well. I started my tutoring career by helping with math and reading part-time.
