Personal Statement

I have been an educator since 2008, where I was an accomplished and competitive student and a teacher's assistant. I have my bachelor's degree in cognition and evolution from SUNY at Binghamton and a master's degree in the same field. I have been a tutor through a writing center, a co-instructor, and have lead one-on-one tutorial classes. I have helped hundreds of people polish their essay writing skills. I have also worked as a camp counselor. I know how to help a diverse range of students figure out their needs and build their skills in independent learning. I would love to help you with literature, writing, social studies, and Regents test prep. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy German literature, camping, cognitive science, bicycling, and linguistics.
