Personal Statement

Graduate of the College of William and Mary with a BS in Computational & Applied Mathematics & Statistics and a BA in Economics. Over the past four years, I developed a keen ability to solve real-world problems meshing economic and mathematical approaches. I have been a tutor for the past five years and enjoy seeing my students excel in their classes. After college, I started my own company to combat the opioid crisis and use tutoring as a way to pay my bills as I build my company. Founder and CEO of Cosmos Pharmaceuticals L.L.C. https://fortiskap.com - The inspiration for Cosmos comes from all of the people I knew growing up who have developed addictions to prescription medications as a result of unfavorable circumstances. Addiction is a devastating disease, and the risk of succumbing to it is not apparent to many individuals, especially when they first begin to take prescription medications. As Cosmos evolved over the past few years, we have expanded the scope of FortisKap as an RTM medical device to improve and monitor medication adherence. Our goal is to monitor medication adherence in between doctor visits in an effort to improve patient well-being.
