Cons: Everything.
Disorganized class. Keep your notes as organized as possible. The bright side is that her curve is very generous.
Cons: Its a Chemistry class so it is going to blow your mind how difficult it is.
Young, understands students and how they learn
Pretty chill
Cons: Tells dumb stories that are a nice break from lecture material but also a waste of time that puts us behind
A bit airheaded
I suck at chem but she made this class bearable. Previously took 103, 104, and 321 and would have to pull all nighters before every single class and didn't retain a thing I learned. Her notes are a lot easier to study and she explains it well. I actually understood what she taught and wasn't totally lost in class. The final is also not that bad- it's only 30% cummulative with the rest being new stuff (post exam 2- there are three exams total including the final). The lab is also easy, never stayed in there for more than 2 hours.
Cons: She moves fast and tests are hard. Gives quizzes every week in discussion. Doesn't use Sakai.
Cons: lab is really boring
i actually think Hoober is a really good professor. she explains the material really well and is always willing to help. The class is difficult for a lot of people, but if you study your notes and do the problem sets, you'll do fine
Cons: extremely difficult, long exams
Cons: Tests hard as hell
Cons: Extremely difficult class and no use of internet for notes so if you miss class and dont have a friend in it or doesn't take good notes you're screwed
Cons: Teaches to everyone as if they are stupid
Difficult class but worth the effort for a combined sciences type major
Cons: Wastes class time being off track
Cons: Ridiculous!
Go to class, you can't miss this class.
Cons: tough material not the best al explaining things
grades fairly
Cons: tests are hard
Cons: This is a very hard coarse, you need to stay on top on the material and study frequently to do well. However, it's doable and Hoober really knows her stuff. Like someone on rate my professor said, you will really know your biochem after taking this class.
Cons: hard tests but with huge curve
