The NCNLA administers scholarships for students in North Carolina pursuing degrees in horticulture, landscape design, or related green industry fields, through the NCNLA Scholarship Committee.

• Larry D. Edwards Memorial Scholarship: Established in 2016 in memory of Larry D. Edwards, founder of Turtle Creek Nursery and former NCNLA president.
• Robert E. Cagle Memorial Scholarship: Established in 2016 in memory of Robert E. Cagle, founder of Greenthumb Nursery and organizer of the annual golf outing that funds this scholarship.
• NCNLA Scholarship: Established in 2021 to provide additional financial assistance to students in North Carolina.
