JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL
Necessary to have the physical stamina to perform. The job is physical. Standing for extended periods, lots of lifting, repetitive motion, heat and humidity, as well as lifting and reaching are all part of the game.
MENTAL AGILITY
Must be mentally sharp and can sort multiple tasks in their head and multi-task constantly. This ability is critical in the fast-paced, decision-in-the-moment environment of a busy kitchen.
EMOTIONAL STABILITY
Be able to handle the stress of working in a busy kitchen where every minute may bring a new challenge or pop-up event. The right individual must be able to approach every situation through the eyes of a seasoned professional. Problem-solving, decisive, and calm under pressure are key traits.
SKILLS
Knowing how to cook, how to use the right tools for the right job, understanding and appreciating local ingredients, great palate, and consistency.
