Undoubtedly the most significant professor I ever had. He was the sharpest & most acutely intelligent man I had as a teacher. I was lucky to be in two Constitutional Law courses & then in a seminar class on speech & civil right that he shared with Richard Longaker. Those two were excellent in presenting the material & challenging our understanding & arguments. This was in 1968 & 69 at the height of Vietnam war protests & heated demonstrations here, in England & France. A most excellent man I so enjoyed being able to drop in for chats in his office. Every one of my fellow students were in awe of him. He raised the bar & was so fluent & affable. Did I say the best. | |
