Helmet House is the leading U.S. distributor of helmets and apparel in the Motorcycle and Powersports industry. We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide desktop and basic network troubleshooting support for our corporate headquarters, distribution centers, and remote users.Our Company was founded in 1969 and has its headquarters and a distribution center in Calabasas Hills, CA along with an eastern distribution point in Southaven, MS. Our digital marketing team is located in Lake Oswego, OR. For decades Helmet House has supplied Powersports Dealers across the U.S. with two of the world's top helmet brands. Helmet House is the exclusive US supplier for SHOEI Helmets, Sidi boots and Fasthouse, while also distributing Alpines-tars, 100%, Molecule, Pinlock, Cardo, Quad Lock and Sena to motorcycle dealerships in the United States. The Tourmaster, Cortech, and NORU motorcycle apparel brands are manufactured and marketed directly by Helmet House. The premium brands we carry represent our commitment to the motorcycle industry and our dealer partners.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be the go-to person for resolving computing challenges, ensuring smooth operations across the company. This role requires a proactive problem solver with excellent troubleshooting skills, a customer-service mindset, and a desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time in-office position based at our headquarters in beautiful Calabasas Hills, CA
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide desktop support for Microsoft Windows computers, assisting users with hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic network connectivity problems.
- Support Microsoft Office 365 applications and user accounts.
- Assist corporate headquarters, distribution centers, and remote employees with technical issues.
- Document technical support cases and resolutions.
- Educate and assist employees in best practices for IT security and system usage.
- Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve more complex technical issues.
- Manage landline NEC phone system.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of desktop support experience with Microsoft Windows computers.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications and troubleshooting.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-service oriented with a desire to help team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Preferred Experience
- Experience troubleshooting Apple Mac computers.
- CompTIA Certification or equivalent technical training.
Work Environment:
- Full-time position with flexible hours within 6:00am and 6:00pm
- Occasional overtime as needed
