Personal Statement

I have my degree in English and writing. I’ve been a tutor for about 15 years. I really love my work and am passionate about it. I believe each student has their own unique way of learning and it’s important to me to teach how they best learn. If a student needs supplemental instruction, I develop a curriculum based on their needs. I like communicating with students' teachers so that we may work together to provide the best experience for my students. I use I-Ready scores as a guide and parent input is also really important. If a student is behind in a subject, they feel it and I like helping to raise their confidence and boost their self-esteem. I think that is just as important as the content.
