Compliance Product Specialist
Description
Role and ResponsibilityResponsible for all product descriptions and diagrams, including revisions to be entered into the ERP system correctly. Additionally has the responsibility to confirm products have all approvals and complies with government rules and laws prior to being manufactured.
Job Duties
- Follow up each purchase order details to ensure specifications are accurate and have proper customer approvals.
- Review and download Customer Vendor Manuals for key information and updates that need to be highlighted and summarized such as product specification standards, shipping and routing instructions, carton label placement, etc. Distribute as necessary.
- Log into customer portals as required to fill in specification and item information.
- Need to review/verify all related diagrams of each product, including specification, labels, stickers, bags, packing materials for accuracy against quoted specs.
- Responsible for all the new items diagrams review/revision/approval with customers and the change of existing items approval by buyers. This is to make sure the ERP system has all descriptions, and they are correct, and all diagrams are uploaded. Need to file all related e-mails and hard copies are put in file cabinets for future reorders use.
- Coordinate with merchandizer/business managers and with our warehouse for any special orders and special arrangements and alerts.
- Communicate with China factories and customers for all the orders matters, such as special requirement, diagrams, labels, stickers or price stickers, paper insert, packing, and etc.
- Update costing system with updated pricing of all other raw materials as required. This includes purchase price of materials and finished goods from suppliers.
- New items adopted by customers with reference BMQ and BMI require creation of item number in ERP for customer set up as required.
- Log in samples and maintain list of all samples filed in storage room.
- Ensure proper distribution of samples when they are completed or arrive from vendors.
- Communicate with China office and vendors as necessary for follow up.
- Review and revise basic specification diagrams using drawing software.
- Coordinate customer QA product sample requests and submit for evaluation and testing.
Other Duties and Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Maintain the filing cabinets and e-filings for customers' manuals and each brand-new product.
- Need to keep record of "production samples" and manage the samples room.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Need to be detail oriented
- Basic Computer skills
- Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Basic "Coreldraw" software.
- Verbal and written communication in English is a must and Chinese Mandarin is a plus.
Work Environment:
Office environment. Sometimes will have to go to the manufacturing floor to pick up or deliver samples, documents, etc.
Work Hours:
8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Standing, sitting, squatting, bending, lifting to 20 lbs. Able to concentrate and focus on details, detailed data entry, descriptions, diagrams and all other data.
