Pros: He allows you to post your discussions after the deadline and will give you credit for it if its late. Rather fair grading on the essays. He gives good critiques on them. He explains what is due each week on the main page.
Cons: A lot of time is required for this class, but I assume that would be with any Lit class. The essays took me a while to complete but I like things to be perfect. The some of the readings were 40-60 pages and the print is small. The most confusing one was "Song of Myself" by Walt Whitman. I literally still do not know what I read.
He gives 5 essays, 10 discussion boards, and 4 quizzes. The essays are over a reading which is sometimes short or sometimes rather long. I enjoyed reading about 2 of the 5. The discussion boards were over a reading as well. The quizzes were over the introduction sections in the books. But they were sometimes hard. I got one 100 and the rest were like 8 out of 20 points or 12 out of 20. Oh I failed to mention this was an online class too.
