As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with knowledge of safety considerations
• Adept in deep water and able to use watercraft like surfboards, paddleboards, and kayaks
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim
• Experience working with or teaching children is preferred
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification is a plus but not required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
