Personal Statement

Hello future students! I’m glad you’ve stopped by my page to learn about my art class. My name is Miss Shelby and I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (BFA) of Graphic Design in May 2019. All my life I’ve enjoyed drawing and all things art related and since 2020 have embarked on creating my own work and sharing it with others. From March 2021-December 2021 I worked as a teacher’s assistant for first grade but also split my time helping out in other classrooms including as a substitute art teacher. My favorite part about teaching art was seeing how I connected with my students through drawing and how much fun it was for them. I hope to invoke a sense of fun and joy through teaching my students how to draw.
