Position Summary:

Your Child and Mine Early Learning Center is looking for an experienced and caring Preschool Lead Teacher to oversee our curriculum program. You will collaborate with other educators and administrators to prepare children for school both academically and socially by using age-appropriate lesson plans, selecting effective developmental materials for the classroom, and utilizing positive behavior reinforcement. Practice confidentiality in all matters related to the staff and families, as well as proprietary information regarding the operation of the center. To ensure success as a lead preschool teacher, you should demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills

Preschool Lead Teacher

Duties/Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum based on PHL-PRE K and/or PA curriculum standards

• Support creativity curriculum and learning

• Provide supervision during activities

• Coordinate with administration to create education plans for students

• Mentoring teachers and other staff, particularly those with limited experience.

• Adhering to legal and educational requirements to ensure students' well-being.

• Keep classroom neat and organized

• Provide parents with progress reports documenting learning through use of written notes, C2L-approved assessment tools and a portfolio system

• Meet professional development goals required by the center’s current Keystone Star level

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Education required with 60/65 credits including 18 Early Childhood Education credits or CDA.

• lifting individual children; up to 40 lbs, frequent walks and the ability to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.

• Proven experience in curriculum development and implementation.

• Prior experience in teaching within this age group.

• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification preferred

• A passion for early childhood development

• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

• A passion for early childhood development.

• Great Communication skills

• Strong teaching abilities

Job Type: Full-time/ Mon-Fri

Compensation: salary $35,580-$40,000
