B.A. in Humanities with a minor in Museums Studies from The King's College (NYC) and M.A. student graduating in 2025. Current teaching certification and teaching experience.
Hi my name is Alex, Ms. Kemsley, or Coach! I've heard all three in the variety of positions I've worked in. I graduated from an academically rigorous high school with a 3.8 GPA, where I was required to write a thesis and earned multiple college scholarships. I then pursued a B.A. in Humanities and a minor in Museum Studies at The King's College in New York City. While in college I was working as a T.A. for a 200-level Research Writing course, where I helped students refine their analysis, grammar, and comprehensive writing skills. Post-graduate, I taught AP Art History a charter school, achieving a 60% pass rate through engaging lesson plans and interactive learning. I still keep in touch with several of my students. Currently, I work for a local nonprofit called Chain Reaction, which holistically supports high school students in achieving their secondary goals. I’m dedicated to helping students excel through hands-on learning and personalized feedback, fostering both confidence and academic growth.
