 You can pass but enter knowing her class can have the workload of 3. She doesn't put any true lessons together for lectures meaning no ppt's or note taking but rather several packets with which you are expected to take annotations on as "notes". From my experience, you need to learn at least 50-60% of the class on your own time to truly understand and ace exams. I would review as much of chemistry as you can before taking her class if possible since it can be difficult for some. She can be very effectives in explanations though her approach to the class can come of as crucial and chaotic.

 Saw her once in class, but all assignments were difficult and very meticulously graded, yet explanations were not all that detailed. According to the TA "teaching" the class she was following Uma's instructions.

 Learning chemistry in an auditorium full of people is hard enough and she goes too fast.

 Pros: Great teacher. Actually goes through all of the material in the exam. Not gonna find teachers like that.

 Pros: She covers all of the material needed for the test. She teaches well
Cons: She sometimes goes too fast, and her tests, just like Grave's tests are tricky.

Lots of HW.
I had a 3 year gap between chem1 and this class. It was hard work but I passed. I'm pretty sure if you just took chem 1 and take her class you will get a better grade than I did. (C+)
Tests are difficult but they are written by the dept. for all chem students, so nothing you can do about it except study well.
Go to class, do hw for practice, and study!

 Pros: She really does explain well.
Cons: Shes a bit moody... kinda comes off rude... so just catch her on a good day if you need to ask her questions.
Chemistry isnt an easy subject, so expect to study alot.

 Pros: Swamy gives you ample amounts of ways to gain enough points to pass. MGC is a life-saver, and along with her teaching, that is a surefire way to pass. She knows chemistry and teaches it very well.
Cons: She gets very irritable with the students, and acts like a highschool teacher. Quite annoying.

 Pros: very good teacher, provides a lot of practice. if you understand the class you will get an A on the test.

 In the lab it will be the TA not the actual professor but all the material comes straight from the professor. it's a lot of labs to do every week. it is somewhat time consuming. But there was only one quiz and the final exam. the final exam covered all of the labs. And we also had an actual crime scene along with a report to do.

Easy class, but a fair warning, she will blow off steam if stressed too much.
