easy exams
Cons: His explanations can be a bit too long-winded
Very easy and light course to take, you cant dislike this teacher. Exams are very close to his old ones, just practice all of them
Provides old exams for study purposes
Cons: Grade is composed entirely of 3 exam scores
Exam questions tend to be sneaky
Cons: I took the class online and it was boring. However, Study Edge and Smokin Notes were my life saver!
Cons: Sometimes the lectures can be pointless and some of the information in the textbook isnât helpful at all or even material in his tests. He will not curve your grade no matter what and your grade only comes from the 3 tests he has so it can be a bit stressful.
Cons: talks a lot with the director and make unnecessary jokes which makes the class fun but not important to the class.
He's overall easy only two exam one final and one makeup which is commutative, in other words it would have stuff from exam one and two instead of one.
Cons: Exams cover alot of info and final is cumulative
Cons: Requires lots of studying before tests to get good grades. Curves are small.
Economics is a tough subject that requires lots of studying to understand completely. Don't expect to understand it the first time you go through it in lecture.
Cons: A lot of extra reading and doing problems on your own. So you are bound to wait to the last minute to study. Study from the begining. The test are not easy
Cons: he rambles a lot, and sometimes puts harder questions on exams he never really reviewed in class.
Cons: his tests are HARD.
Cons: Sometimes it sounds like he is talking in circles when he really isn't. You just actually have to pay attention
DO THE OLD EXAMS! He reuses questions or just changes the numbers in them all the time
Cons: Spends most of the lecture playing with the director.
Doable Class
Cons: Your grade is ONLY based on 3 exams!
No participation/ quizzes/ only a few point of extra credit. Don't you think that that is too intense for an intro level course?
He's not as bad as the teacher for Macroeconomics. This is the easiest business class. :))))
all in all easy to keep up with as long as you read
its up to you to get an a in the class
Cons: If you are on a tight schedule, it is sometimes annoying to watch the lectures because there are random five minute snippets where no actual teaching happens. The director will cause some kind of distraction that is usually prompted by Prof. Rush. If you have nothing else to do these are actually quite entertaining.
The book is not as important as the professor makes it out to be. If you watch his lectures and take good notes (I recommend writing down everything he writes on the board) you will have everything you need for the notecard you can take into the test with you. It's a good idea to do a practice test or two, starting with the most recent ones, but doing more than 3 or 4 will probably drain you more than it'll help you.
There are also atleast 8 previous exams for each exam (so you will have 3 exams and there will about 8 you can practice with for each exam)
Cons: Exam 2 Spring '10 was extremely hard. I did all the past practice tests and felt really prepared but that Spring's test was unlike the past tests. So I felt it was a bit unfair.
