Personal Statement

I truly believe a well-written letter, essay or report can open doors and create opportunity for people, and I have ample examples of situations where individuals used their words wisely and distinguished themselves and their ideas from exceptionally crowded competitions. My documentary on the global refugee crisis has been profiled by Vanity Fair Magazine online and I have given two TEDx Talks on the subject. My photography is in the permanent collections of numerous museums including the New York Historical Society, Museum of the City of New York, International Center of Photography and others. I earned my MBA at The Wharton School and currently pursuing my Masters in Journalism at Harvard University. I am an investment banker by training, having worked at Goldman Sachs and other major investment banks on M&A, private equity, venture capital and other alternative investments. I have extensive experience in business writing (business plans, reports, analysis), journalism and essays. I am also an Advisor to Princeton University's Keller Center for Innovation mentoring students running startup businesses.
