After having Dr. Goldberg for 3 semesters in a row, I rejoiced and was glad to have anyone different. I saw Wright as a quiet, sweet lady. But they're all the same in this French department! I do believe they all had serious issues with certain types of people when they were young... and Wright is actually worse than Goldberg in a way: she pretends to be soft and sweet, but then it's like she lifts up her sheet-sized skirt and lets it all out on you. The fury, that is. She is an OK professor, but I have never had much respect for Americans teaching foreign languages. It doesn't help that they're all the same in the attitude department. They're all prideful whether they outwardly show it or not. In conclusion, do not take French at all here. Just forget about it all. None of this is worth your time. Or your parents' money. Or your own, for that matter. Cheers.
Exams: What can I say? You have to write in French. Wright is an American.
Homework: Sometimes we would have to answer questions on the reading and write more about it. That's called "devoirs".
Textbook: There's no textbook-- you need a bunch of teeny weeny books.

Dr. Wright is a very good professor. She goes out of her way to help students and to encourage them in their areas of interest. She is not a difficult instructor to please - she has very realistic expectations of students. I do not know of anyone who has not liked her classes.
Exams: Dr. Wright is not a hard grader, but she does not use a curve.
Homework: Run of the mill workbook-based foreign language course. Some short compositions required.
