Being the intro course at PSU, AFR 105 brings together all about climate change and Africa studies into one and Professor Mwangi is by far the best professor to take for AFR 105. She is super clear in her lectures, it's a very hands-on class with case studies and presentations followed by intense class discussions, and Prof Mwangi is a great! |

By far the NICEST and MOST HELPFUL teacher in AFR 105, Climate Change and Environments of Africa. I mean SUPER NICE, always has a smile on her face, willing to help students out no matter what. She makes the class very interesting with group projects and cases. One of the best teachers I have had at PennState! |

Super nice professor who is extremely enthusiastic about the material. Professor Mwangi is always willing to help you and is very clear on the lectures. Lets the students lead discussions, and provides great feedback so you always learn a whole lot. If you participate and show enthusiasm in your work, she will give you extra points. |

She really believes in her students and wants them to succeed. An admirable, intelligent woman! The class entails some busy work on a week-to-week basis, but her tests are straightforward and you learn a lot. |

In all my years at PSU, few if any professors have demonstrated the drive to succeed, enthusiasm to teach, and the entrepreneurial passion that is manifest in Prof. Mwangi. Her attitude and positive energy is truly inspiring. |

I really like her, she is very clear, kind, and tests are fine and very easy but long. I would totally take her again for another class. I would highly suggest her but know that there is a good amount of easy "busy" work. |

Professor Dr. Mwangi is wonderful teacher. Kind, passionate, and knowledgeable. Tests are very reasonable and all easy. There is a good about of busy work but its not that time consuming. I would take her again any day. Classes usually end 10 minutes early and she is a very fair grader. Take her! |

Dr. Mwangi is a great prof. I would suggest that you pick your group wisely as you will be working together all semester. I had a great team, all type A personalities that could work under pressure. There is a lot of work, however it evenly distributes your grade unlike other Africa classes. Participation can save your grade, It got me my A! |

Classy professor, other teachers would do quite good to take a leaf out of her book. Never heard topics explained so clearly in a class and she has extremely reasonable expectations of her students. Changed my attitude about school and made me want to learn. Must have Dr. Mwangi. |

Go to all her lectures. Dr. Mwangi is a wonderful, sweet young woman. The TA grade your quizzes so just watch out for that. I had Dr. Mwangi re-grade my quiz because of a stingy grading TA and she was a lot more fair. She made climate change and geology interesting when initially my interest level in the subject was a negative. Totally recommend. |

Dr. Mwangi is great!! She's young, fun, and has a lot of energy! She moves a little fast sometimes because she somewhat a super intellectual, this woman is a genius! if you ever need extra help she is always there. She also gives extra credit on all of her tests and quizzes - which aren't hard anyway. I would take her class again in a heartbeat! |

Not only is Professor Dr. Mwangi incredibly H-O-T, she somehow manages to make environments and climate change interesting and exciting. She’s very fair and reasonable. Her lectures are exciting...she is so enthusiastic, and if you say something smart, she just might shake your hand. Dr. Mwangi IS AMAZING! |
